Stacey Fox-Alvarez, DVM, MPH, DACVIM

Oncology, Chief Medical Officer

Pet Cancer Specialist in Gainesville, FL

Dr. Fox is our Pet Cancer Specialist at CCVS, as well as the Chief Medical Officer. After graduating from Vet School at UF, Dr. Fox completed an emergency and critical care internship, followed by a medical oncology internship and residency prior to joining UF as faculty. In academia, her passions were advancing educational research and mentoring students, interns, and residents.  Dr. Fox also worked with a team of educational researchers to create a tool for helping educators develop their skills and she brings this love for teaching and continued personal growth to our team at CCVS. In her spare time, Dr. Fox-Alvarez enjoys spending time with her husband (Dr. Alex Fox-Alvarez) and their dogs, cats, and chickens. Her hobbies include caring for tropical plants, vegetable gardening and being outside in our beautiful Gainesville community.
