Martin is a Vet Tech who is pursuing his DVM with a professional focus on veterinary critical care. When he is not focused on his veterinary studies, he enjoys relaxing and hanging out with his cat, Mini.

Veterinary Technician


Scott Is one of our helpful Vet Assistants that is also in school pursing a BA in Anthropology, and a minor in African Studies.  He is very interested in environmental anthropology.  He has 2 cats, a tabby named Malkia, who doesn't have a tail and a  black, domestic short hair named Bilquis. When he is not at school or work, he enjoys hiking, reading and playing video and board games with friends. 


Zander

Veterinary Technician

Zander is one of our helpful Vet Assistants who also has a passion for anesthesia and emergency care in specialty medicine.  He plans to become a Certified Veterinary Technician at the St. Petersburg College.  Zander has a Corgi that he loves, and in his spare time, he spends it with his partner  and Corgi going on walks at parks, beaches, and fairs. They all love to travel.  

Alyssa

Veterinary Assistant

Alyssa is working through Penn Foster towards her certification as a Veterinary Technician, but participated 4 years in the Veterinary Assisting program before graduating from Santa Fe High School. Her interests include veterinary emergency and surgery. Alyssa has a dog, a Beagle/Hound mix named Georgia, a Border Collie named Tillie, and several cows, some who were bottle fed in their early months.

Veterinary Technician

Meredith is a veterinary technician who completed her degree at St. Petersburg College in 2016. Since then, she has worked in Primary Care, Specialty, Emergency & Critical Care, and Shelter Medicine. She is passionate about providing compassionate care and treating each patient like her own. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys exploring beaches, springs, and parks with her family and many pets, singing, and all things Disney.

Veterinary Technician

Stephanie is one of our Oncology Veterinary Technicians who also has particular interests in pain management and quality of life support. She has 6 cats, 3 indoor and 3 outdoor, and enjoys hiking, exploring and gardening. In her spare time, she spends time with her husband and son, and creates art that she shares in art shows and markets.

Veterinary Assistant

Ben is one of our helpful Veterinary Assistants that aspires to be a Veterinarian. He hopes to get into Vet School after completing an undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences, and has 3 cats named Juniper, Carolina, and Virginia. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, going to the gym, running, tennis and ultimate frisbee with his friends.

Caroline is a Veterinary Assistant that is hoping to become a veterinarian. She is currently currently attending SFC, and then UF, majoring in wildlife ecology. She has a French Bulldog named Nilla, ands in her spare time, Caroline enjoys reading, crafts, and time with her family and pets.

Monique

Veterinary Technician

Monique is an anesthesia technician who, since 2012, has held various positions in shelter medicine, animal behavior consulting, and specialty anesthesia. She would like to become specialized in anesthesia/analgesia, and enjoys the teaching aspect that her varied background allows. In her spare time, Monique loves exploring the outdoors, landscaping the yard, or napping in a sunny spot with her partner. Currently, she has one polydactyl cat (with very strong opinions about when she should be fed) and a few exotic reptile pets.

Tyler

Veterinary Technician


Tyler is one of our Veterinary Technicians that also helps maintain our various equipment around the hospital.  With a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and a minor in Zoology from the UF, his goal is to go to Vet School to become a veterinarian for ‘exotics’.  He has 25 pets ranging from dogs and cats to rodents, reptiles, and birds! When Tyler is not working, he can be found hanging out with his family and pets.


Dana

Veterinary Assistant

Dana is a Vet Assistant who has a deep interest in wildlife medicine, particularly Virginia opossums, stemming from a previous internship at a wildlife refuge. She cares for four cats: Luigi, Covello, Louie, and Polaris. Dana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology and is currently furthering her education in a Veterinary Technician program.

Veterinary Assistant

Elizabeth is a Vet Assistant who is currently graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Biology and a minor in Nutritional Sciences. As a pre-vet student, she aspires to become an equine veterinarian or a small animal surgeon. She is the best friend and owner of a rescue cat named Kiki.
